The North Stanly Comets basketball team scored 90 points and held the visiting Avery County Vikings to 49 in the Comets non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Comets now sport a 24-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 27. North Stanly will battle a Phoenix team coming off a 71-60 non-league win over South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC). The Phoenix record now stands at 24-3.
