Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Anselmo-Merna Coyotes (Merna, NE) and the host Stapleton Broncos (Stapleton, NE), saw Anselmo-Merna's basketball squad wallop Stapleton by a count of 78-16.

With the victory, Anselmo-Merna upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Overton (Overton, NE) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Overton won 67-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Southern Valley (Oxford, NE)

Next up, the Broncos play the Sandhills/Thedford Knights (Dunning, NE) in a D2 District 10 challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Stapleton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 62-41 non-league loss to North Central (Bassett, NE).
