Missouri High School Football - Hazelwood East thwarted by Hazelwood Central
October 14, 2006: St. Louis, MO 63138 The Hazelwood Central Hawks toppled the host Hazelwood East Spartans football squad by a final score of 16-7 in Saturday's league outing.
The Hawks now sport a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pattonville for a Suburban - North outing on Friday, October 20. Hazelwood Central will confront a Pirates squad coming off a 42-19 league win over Ritenour (Overland, MO). The Pirates record now stands at 5-2.
With the defeat, Hazelwood East moves to 6-1 on the campaign. The Spartans host Troy-Buchanan (Troy, MO) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league test on Saturday, October 21. The Trojans go into the test with a record of 0-7. Troy-Buchanan lost 52-0 in their recent non-league test against McCluer (Florissant, MO)
