In Thursday's non-league game, the Los Fresnos Falcons (Los Fresnos, TX) football team were victorious over the host Edinburg North Cougars (Edinburg, TX), by a score of 34-14.

The Falcons (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Edcouch-Elsa (Edcouch, TX). The Yellowjackets come into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Edcouch-Elsa knocked off Rowe (McAllen, TX), 21-14, in a non-league game.
