The Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) basketball nipped the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC), 53-46 in Friday's league test.

The Eagles (16-4) will now prepare for their test against Alleghany (Sparta, NC). The Trojans go into the 2A/1A Mountain Valley test with a 1-15 record. In their last test, Alleghany was tipped by Elkin (Elkin, NC), 62-37, in a league test.
