The Veterans Memorial Patriots topped the host Waco Lions basketball team by a final score of 52-32 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Patriots face the Westlake Chaparrals (Austin, TX) in a non-league game, on Friday, December 29. Veterans Memorial will attempt to move on its 16-7 season record. The Chaparrals enter the game with a 15-6 record after their 52-42 non-league win over University (Waco, TX).

With the defeat, Waco moves to 2-10 on the year. The Lions host Cedar Park (Cedar Park, TX) to face the Timberwolves in a non-league game on Saturday, December 30. The Timberwolves enter the game with a record of 16-7. Cedar Park won 52-16 in their recent non-league game against Hutto (Hutto, TX)
