Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Valley View Eagles (Moreno Valley, CA) and the visiting Hoover Cardinals (San Diego, CA), saw Valley View's basketball squad overcome Hoover by a tally of 83-71.

With the victory, Valley View improves its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Elsinore (Wildomar, CA) to confront the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 29. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 6-7. Elsinore won 65-33 in their recent non-league challenge against San Jacinto (San Jacinto, CA)

Next up, the Cardinals confront the Paloma Valley Wildcats (Menifee, CA) in a non-league outing, on Friday, December 29. Hoover will attempt to advance on its 5-7 season record. The Wildcats go into the outing with a 11-4 record after their 72-67 non-league win over Boulder City (Boulder City, NV).
