January 23, 2010: Quakertown, PA 18951 Quakertown Panthers (Quakertown, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Abington Galloping Ghosts (Abington, PA), 60-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Quakertown upgrades its record to 8-7 on the season. The Panthers travel to Central Bucks East (Doylestown, PA) to encounter the Patriots in a Suburban One - Continental bout on Tuesday, January 26. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Central Bucks East won 55-53 in their recent non-league bout against Council Rock South (Holland, PA)
Next up, the Galloping Ghosts encounter the Tennent Panthers (Warminster, PA) in a Suburban One - National bout, on Tuesday, January 26. Abington will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 42-41 non-league win over Upper Moreland (Willow Grove, PA).
