The Asheboro Blue Comets basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Southern Guilford Storm to 60 in the Blue Comets league triumph on Tuesday.

The Blue Comets now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ragsdale for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 9. Asheboro will battle a Tigers team coming off a 55-38 non-league win over East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 12-0.

The Storm (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Southeast Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Falcons enter the Mid-Piedmont 3A contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, Southeast Guilford nudged Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC), 53-42, in a league contest.
