The Higgins Hurricanes football team (Marrero, LA), was beaten 26-18 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Covington Lions (Covington, LA)

The Lions (3-0) will now prepare for their outing against St. Paul (Covington, LA). The Wolves go into the 5A District 6 outing with a 3-0 record. In their last game, St. Paul toppled McDonogh 35 (New Orleans, LA), 34-16, in a non-league game.

The Hurricanes now hold a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brother Martin for a non-league game on Thursday, September 29.
