The Upper St. Clair Panthers basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Monessen Greyhounds to 54 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chartiers Valley for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 10. Upper St. Clair will battle a Colts team coming off a 67-24 non-league win over Bishop Canevin (Pittsburgh, PA). The Colts record now stands at 1-0.

The Greyhounds (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop Canevin (Pittsburgh, PA). The Crusaders enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Bishop Canevin was nudged by Chartiers Valley (Bridgeville, PA), 67-24, in a non-league contest.
