In Friday's league game, the Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) football team knocked off the host Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA), by a score of 28-3.

The Bruins (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Lakeland (Suffolk, VA). The Cavaliers come into the AAA Southeastern game with a 3-0 record. In their last game, Lakeland toppled Maury (Norfolk, VA), 37-21, in a non-league game.
