The Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA) basketball felled the visiting Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers (Lampeter, PA), 50-39 in Friday's non-league test.

The Hornets (4-2) will now prepare for their test against Oil City (Oil City, PA). The Oilers go into the District 10 Region 5 outing with a 6-0 record.

The Pioneers now hold a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Eastern Lebanon County for a Lancaster-Lebanon 3 outing on Wednesday, January 2.
