Illinois High School Softball - Quincy Notre Dame bounces Brown County
May 7, 2018: Quincy, IL 62301 Quincy Notre Dame Raiders (Quincy, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Brown County Hornets (Mt. Sterling, IL), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Raiders now own a 11-14 record. They take the field next when they host Mendon Unity for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 9. Quincy Notre Dame will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 6-1 non-league loss to Illini West (Carthage, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 9-10.
With the loss, Brown County falls to 17-10 on the campaign. The Hornets host West Hancock co-op [Hamilton/Nauvoo-Colusa/Warsaw] (Hamilton, IL) to face the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 8. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 10-12. West Hancock co-op [Hamilton/Nauvoo-Colusa/Warsaw] lost 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Carrollton (Carrollton, IL)
