West Virginia High School Baseball - South Charleston defeats Winfield
April 29, 2010: South Charleston, WV 25309 In Thursday's non-league challenge, the South Charleston Black Eagles (South Charleston, WV) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting Winfield Generals (Winfield, WV), by a final score of 9-2.
With the win, South Charleston upgrades its record to 10-8 on the season. The Black Eagles travel to Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV) to battle the Panthers in a Mountain State challenge on Friday, April 30. The Panthers enter the battle with a record of 0-20. Lincoln County lost 8-2 in their recent league battle against Spring Valley (Huntington, WV)
The Generals now possess a 11-17 record. They take the field next when they host Hurricane for a non-league battle on Friday, April 30. Winfield will play a Redskins squad coming off a 13-5 non-league win over Sissonville (Charleston, WV). The Redskins record now stands at 19-9.
