Washington High School Basketball - Kent-Meridian edges Lynden
December 30, 2011: Kent, WA 98031 The Kent-Meridian Royals (Kent, WA) basketball nipped the visiting Lynden Lions (Lynden, WA), 45-44 in Friday's non-league test.
The Royals (8-3) will now prepare for their test against Tahoma (Kent, WA). The Bears go into the 4A SPSL - North test with a 4-6 record. In their last test, Tahoma got by Tyee (SeaTac, WA), 91-42, in a non-league test.
The Lions now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bellingham for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest on Tuesday, January 3. Lynden will meet a Red Raiders team coming off a 71-57 non-league loss to Edmonds-Woodway (Edmonds, WA). The Red Raiders record now stands at 1-8.
