September 11, 2012: Colorado Springs, CO 80917 Palmer Terrors (Colorado Springs, CO) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Doherty Spartans (Colorado Springs, CO), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Terrors now sport a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cheyenne Mountain for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 13.
With the loss, Doherty falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Vista Ridge (Colorado Springs, CO) to face the Wolves in a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 13. The Wolves enter the challenge with a record of 4-9. Vista Ridge lost 13-6 in their recent league challenge against Discovery Canyon (Colorado Springs, CO)
Game Summary
Kaylene Ross worked a strong game for Palmer. She held her compusure to end a Doherty rally in the bottom of the 7th. Kara Flores, with alert base running, set up the Terrors first run and Samantha Archuleta and Flores got home two additional runs.
