Pleasant Valley Vikings (Chico, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Riverdale Cowboys (Riverdale, CA), 10-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Chico for a Eastern/Sac River challenge on Tuesday, March 24. Pleasant Valley will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 10-8 non-league loss to Shasta (Redding, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Riverdale falls to 8-2 on the campaign. The Cowboys travel to Sunnyside (Fresno, CA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 21.
