Bellevue East Chieftains (Bellevue, NE) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Millard West Wildcats (Omaha, NE), 53-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Bellevue East upgrades its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Chieftains travel to Millard South (Omaha, NE) to play the Patriots in a A District TBA bout on Saturday, January 22. The Patriots come into the bout with a record of 7-6. Millard South lost 73-58 in their recent league bout against Omaha North (Omaha, NE)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Omaha North Vikings (Omaha, NE) in a A District TBA bout, on Thursday, January 20. Millard West will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 73-58 league win over Millard South (Omaha, NE).
