Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Knightstown Panthers (Knightstown, IN), 67-21 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mt. Vernon upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Marauders travel to Connersville (Connersville, IN) to encounter the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 27. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. Connersville lost 61-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Muncie Central (Muncie, IN)

Next up, the Panthers play the Morristown Yellow Jackets (Morristown, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 28. Knightstown will attempt to improve on its 1-12 season record.
