Nebraska High School Basketball - Axtell prevails Sumner-Eddyville-Miller
January 8, 2010: Axtell, NE 68924 Axtell Wildcats (Axtell, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Mustangs (Sumner, NE), 51-35 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Axtell upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Alma (Alma, NE) to encounter the Cardinals in a C2 District 10 bout on Saturday, January 9. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 4-5. Alma lost 39-35 in their recent non-league bout against Franklin (Franklin, NE)
Next up, the Mustangs encounter the Arcadia Huskies (Arcadia, NE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 9. Sumner-Eddyville-Miller will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 81-31 non-league loss to Stapleton/McPherson County (Stapleton, NE).
