October 21, 2006: Pontiac, MI 48340 Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish (Pontiac, MI) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Saturday as they observed their football squad thwart the visiting Shrine Catholic Knights (Royal Oak, MI), 31-21 in a non-league challenge.
The Fighting Irish now sport a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Croswell-Lexington for a non-league challenge on Saturday, October 28. Notre Dame Prep will clash with a Pioneers squad coming off a 20-13 non-league win over Millington (Millington, MI). The Pioneers record now stands at 8-1.
With the defeat, Shrine Catholic moves to 7-2 on the campaign. The Knights host Cabrini (Allen Park, MI) to clash with the Monarchs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, October 28. The Monarchs go into the challenge with a record of 6-3. Cabrini lost 29-23 in their recent non-league challenge against Loyola (Detroit, MI)
