Missouri High School Basketball - Notre Dame holds off Kennett
February 6, 2017: Cape Girardeau, MO 63701 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Notre Dame Bulldogs (Cape Girardeau, MO) and the visiting Kennett Indians (Kennett, MO), saw Notre Dame's basketball squad hold off Kennett by a tally of 54-53.
With the victory, Notre Dame improves its record to 16-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Poplar Bluff (Poplar Bluff, MO) to confront the Mules in a Southeast Missouri challenge on Friday, February 10. The Mules come into the challenge with a record of 14-7. Poplar Bluff won 88-86 in their recent non-league challenge against Muhlenberg County (Greenville, KY)
Next up, the Indians confront the Senath-Hornersville Lions (Senath, MO) in a Bootheel challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Kennett will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 72-32 league loss to Portageville (Portageville, MO).
