In Friday's league outing, the Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Highland School of Technology Rams (Gastonia, NC), by a margin of 80-48.

The (8-8) will now prepare for their outing against Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Ironmen go into the Southern Piedmont 1A outing with a 6-11 record. In their last outing, Cherryville was trounced by Community School of Davidson (Davidson, NC), 81-78, in a league outing.
