In Saturday's non-league match, the Pearl Pirates (Pearl, MS) basketball team were victorious over the host Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS), by a score of 58-47.

In their next game, the Pirates meet the Terry Bulldogs (Terry, MS) in a 6A Region 6 match, on Tuesday, January 12. Pearl will attempt to better on its 11-8 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 11-5 record after their 52-47 non-league loss to Raymond (Raymond, MS).
