Bertrand Vikings (Bertrand, NE) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Elwood Pirates (Elwood, NE), 53-18 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bertrand upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Vikings travel to Loomis (Loomis, NE) to play the Wolves in a Fort Kearny bout on Saturday, December 12. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Pirates play the Pleasanton Bulldogs (Pleasanton, NE) in a Fort Kearny bout, on Friday, December 11. Elwood will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 45-30 non-league loss to Arcadia/Loup City (Arcadia, NE).
