Colorado High School Basketball - Sangre de Cristo overwhelms Creede
January 10, 2019: Creede, CO 81130 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds (Mosca, CO) and the host Creede Miners (Creede, CO), saw Sangre de Cristo's basketball squad wallop Creede by a tally of 76-43.
With the victory, Sangre de Cristo improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Primero (Weston, CO) to confront the Bulldogs in a 1A Fishers Peak challenge on Friday, January 11. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Primero won 64-50 in their recent league challenge against Manzanola (Manzanola, CO)
Next up, the Miners confront the Sierra Grande Panthers (Blanca, CO) in a 1A Southern Peaks challenge, on Friday, January 11. Creede will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 45-34 non-league loss to Cheraw (Cheraw, CO).
