Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions (Glendale, AZ) and the host Desert Mountain Wolves (Scottsdale, AZ), witnessed Mountain Ridge's softball squad prevail over Desert Mountain by a count of 10-1.

The Mountain Lions now sport a 8-8 record. They play next when they host Skyline for a non-league match on Monday, April 9. Mountain Ridge will meet a Coyotes squad coming off a 9-6 league loss to Dobson (Mesa, AZ). The Coyotes record now stands at 3-13.

With the loss, Desert Mountain moves to 4-19 on the season. The Wolves host Horizon (Scottsdale, AZ) to meet the Huskies in a 6A Desert Valley match on Friday, April 6. The Huskies go into the match with a record of 13-8. Horizon lost 6-5 in their recent league match against O'Connor (Phoenix, AZ)
