Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Esperanza Aztecs (Anaheim, CA) and the host Santa Margarita Eagles (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA), saw Esperanza's basketball squad overcome Santa Margarita by a tally of 53-45.

With the victory, Esperanza improves its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Aztecs host Huntington Beach (Huntington Beach, CA) to confront the Oilers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 15. The Oilers come into the challenge with a record of 3-2.

Next, the Eagles encounter the Cerritos Dons (Cerritos, CA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, December 17. Santa Margarita will attempt to advance on its 6-2 season record. The Dons go into the test with a 3-5 record after their 64-43 non-league loss to Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos, CA).
