In Friday's non-league outing, the El Camino Wildcats (Oceanside, CA) basketball squad edged the visiting Escondido Cougars (Escondido, CA), by a margin of 54-51.

The Wildcats (10-6) will now prepare for their outing against Rancho Buena Vista (Vista, CA). The Longhorns go into the Palomar outing with a 4-11 record. In their last outing, Rancho Buena Vista was tipped by La Costa Canyon (Carlsbad, CA), 62-21, in a non-league outing.
