Ohio High School Basketball - Briggs tops Johnstown-Monroe
January 17, 2015: Columbus, OH 43223 Briggs Bruins (Columbus, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies (Johnstown, OH), 51-34 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Briggs upgrades its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to Eastmoor Academy (Columbus, OH) to play the Warriors in a Columbus City - South bout on Tuesday, January 20. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 6-8. Eastmoor Academy won 70-64 in their recent league bout against Marion-Franklin (Columbus, OH)
Next up, the Johnnies play the Heath Bulldogs (Heath, OH) in a Licking County bout, on Tuesday, January 20. Johnstown-Monroe will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 52-43 league win over Lakewood (Hebron, OH).
