The Myrtle Hawks basketball team (Myrtle, MS), was nudged 59-52 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Ashland Blue Devils (Ashland, MS)

The Blue Devils now sport a 10-9 record. They play next when they host West Union for a 1A Region 2 battle on Tuesday, January 29. Ashland will meet a Eagles team coming off a 57-55 non-league loss to Kossuth (Kossuth, MS). The Eagles record now stands at 8-14.
