The McCool Junction Mustangs basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Lawrence-Nelson Raiders to 19 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Weeping Water for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 28. McCool Junction will play a Indians squad coming off a 39-27 non-league loss to Pawnee City (Pawnee City, NE). The Indians record now stands at 2-6.

Next up, the Raiders play the Red Cloud Warriors (Red Cloud, NE) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Lawrence-Nelson will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record.
