The Washington Panthers basketball team scored 41 points and held the host Normal University Pioneers to 37 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Canton for a non-league contest on Friday, December 4. Washington will battle a Little Giants team coming off a 73-32 non-league win over Farmington (Farmington, IL). The Little Giants record now stands at 1-0.

The Pioneers (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL). The Hawks enter the Corn Belt contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Prairie Central nudged LeRoy (LeRoy, IL), 74-38, in a non-league contest.
