North Carolina High School Basketball - Rutherfordton-Spindale Central over Asheville

The Rutherfordton-Spindale Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Asheville Cougars (Asheville, NC), 62-53 in Friday's non-league test.

The Hilltoppers (6-3) will now prepare for their test against East Rutherford (Forest City, NC). The Cavaliers go into the 3A/2A South Mountain test with a 6-1 record. In their last test, East Rutherford topped Asheville (Asheville, NC), 63-49, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to McDowell for a 4A/3A Mountain test on Friday, January 11.
