New York High School Basketball - East Aurora prevails Lake Shore
January 10, 2009: Angola, NY 14006 East Aurora Blue Devils (East Aurora, NY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lake Shore Eagles (Angola, NY), 58-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, East Aurora upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Blue Devils host Griffith Institute (Springville, NY) to play the Griffins in a Section 6 Erie County III bout on Tuesday, January 13. The Griffins go into the bout with a record of 4-3.
Next up, the Eagles play the Williamsville East Flames (East Amherst, NY) in a Section 6 Erie County II bout, on Tuesday, January 13. Lake Shore will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Flames go into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 71-60 league loss to Sweet Home (Amherst, NY).
