Alabama High School Basketball - Lexington overwhelms Tharptown
December 27, 2010: Lexington, AL 35648 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Lexington Golden Bears (Lexington, AL) and the visiting Tharptown Wildcats (Russellville, AL), saw Lexington's basketball squad trounce Tharptown by a score of 84-33.
With the victory, Lexington improves its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Golden Bears host Mars Hill Bible (Florence, AL) to play the Panthers in a 2A Area 16 challenge on Tuesday, January 4. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 5-4.
Next up, the Wildcats play the Hatton Hornets (Town Creek, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 29. Tharptown will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 62-42 non-league loss to Red Bay (Red Bay, AL).
