The South Creek Cougars basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting East Wake Academy Eagles to 40 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Cougars now sport a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rosewood for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 28. South Creek will battle a Eagles team coming off a 60-49 non-league win over East Wake Academy (Zebulon, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 4-6.

The Eagles (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against John A. Holmes (Edenton, NC). The Aces enter the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, John A. Holmes was defeated by Bertie (Windsor, NC), 70-48, in a non-league contest.
