October 7, 2011: Pittsburgh, PA 15239 In Friday's league game, the Central Catholic Vikings (Pittsburgh, PA) football team smashed the host Plum Mustangs (Pittsburgh, PA), by a final score of 60-6.
The Vikings (6-0) will now prepare for their game against Gateway (Monroeville, PA). The Gators come into the non-league game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Gateway overwhelmed Hempfield Area (Greensburg, PA), 36-0, in a league game.
The Mustangs now hold a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Altoona for a WPIAL AAAA Big East game on Friday, October 14. Plum will battle a Lions team coming off a 40-6 league loss to Penn Hills (Pittsburgh, PA). The Lions record now stands at 2-4.
