The Mallard Creek Mavericks basketball team scored 36 points and held the visiting Hopewell Titans to 32 in the Mavericks league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mavericks now sport a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hough for a 4A Meck contest on Friday, January 30. Mallard Creek will meet a Huskies team coming off a 55-47 league loss to Robinson (Concord, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 12-5.

The Titans (16-2) will now prepare for their contest against Myers Park (Charlotte, NC). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 17-1 record. In their last contest, Myers Park nudged Providence (Charlotte, NC), 65-37, in a non-league contest.
