October 8, 2011: Charlotte, NC 28270 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Aiken Fighting Green Hornets (Aiken, SC) and the host Charlotte Christian Knights (Charlotte, NC), saw Aiken's volleyball squad beat Charlotte Christian by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Aiken upgrades its record to 30-2 on the year. The Fighting Green Hornets travel to Nation Ford (Fort Mill, SC) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Saturday, October 8. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 18-7. Nation Ford won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Fairfield Central (Winnsboro, SC)
The Knights now own a 10-8 record. They play next when they travel to Charlotte Country Day for a NCISAA Charlotte Independent Schools bout on Tuesday, October 11. Charlotte Christian will play a Buccaneers squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Providence Day (Charlotte, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 18-9.
