South Granville Vikings (Creedmoor, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Southern Alamance Patriots (Graham, NC), 68-53 in a league bout.

With the win, South Granville upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Vikings host Eastern Alamance (Mebane, NC) to play the Eagles in a Mid-State 3A bout on Monday, January 26. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 7-4.

Next up, the Patriots play the Williams Bulldogs (Burlington, NC) in a Mid-State 3A bout, on Tuesday, January 27. Southern Alamance will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record.
