May 5, 2012: Renton, WA 16426 The Lindbergh Eagles baseball team (Renton, WA), was tipped 2-1 in Saturday's non-league outing with the visiting White River Hornets (Buckley, WA)

Game Summary
The Hornets traveled to the Kitsap County Fairgrounds to square off against Lindbergh for the West Central District III Sub-District Title. Behind the pitching of Ryan Bird, (4 innings, 0 runs on 3 hits) and Trent Buchanan (3 innings, 1 run, SV), the Hornets pulled off the win. The Hornets got on the board first when courtesy runner Alec Anasatasi scored on Tanner Williams' ground ball to third base that was misplayed. Cole Johnson would score on a wild pitch in the 6th after doubling and stealing third. The Eagles rallied in the 7th with 3 straight hits, and scored a run on Cooper Stevens' single, however, Stevens was picked off first and Ryan White popped up to first to end the game. White pitched 6 strong innings for the Eagles, allowing only 3 hits. The Hornets resume play Wednesday in a winner-to-state game at 7pm back at the Fairgrounds vs. the winner of Kingston vs Franklin Pierce. The Eagles will play at 5pm at Franklin Pierce vs. the winner of the Fife-Olympic game.
