Texas High School Basketball - Martins Mill overwhelms Carlisle
December 21, 2012: Price, TX 75687 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Martins Mill Mustangs (Ben Wheeler, TX) and the host Carlisle Indians (Price, TX), saw Martins Mill's basketball squad trounce Carlisle by a score of 73-41.
With the victory, Martins Mill improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs host LaPoynor (LaRue, TX) to battle the Flyers in a 1A-1 Region III District 17 challenge on Friday, January 4. The Flyers come into the challenge with a record of 14-2. LaPoynor won 89-16 in their recent league challenge against Harleton (Harleton, TX)
Next up, the Indians battle the Beckville Bearcats (Beckville, TX) in a 1A-1 Region III District 17 challenge, on Friday, January 4. Carlisle will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 87-37 league loss to Martins Mill (Ben Wheeler, TX).
