Illinois High School Basketball - Waukegan thwarts Aurora West
December 28, 2009: Waukegan, IL 60085 The Waukegan Bulldogs (Waukegan, IL) basketball defeated the visiting Aurora West Blackhawks (Aurora, IL), 71-52 in Monday's non-league contest.
The Bulldogs now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Danville for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 29. Waukegan will confront a Vikings team coming off a 75-66 non-league win over United (East Moline, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 7-4.
The Blackhawks (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against West Chicago (West Chicago, IL). The Wildcats enter the DuPage Valley contest with a 2-11 record. In their last contest, West Chicago was defeated by Timothy Christian (Elmhurst, IL), 41-39, in a non-league contest.
