The Hempfield Black Knights basketball team scored 80 points and held the host Sherwood Warriors to 37 in the Black Knights non-league triumph on Monday.

The Black Knights now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mt. Pleasant for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 29. Hempfield will meet a Vikings team coming off a 52-44 non-league win over Greater Latrobe (Latrobe, PA). The Vikings record now stands at 4-2.

The Warriors (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Gaithersburg (Gaithersburg, MD). The Trojans enter the Montgomery County 4A - East contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Gaithersburg trounced Calverton (Huntingtown, MD), 90-28, in a non-league contest.
