North Carolina High School Volleyball - Central Academy over Monroe

October 11, 2012: Monroe, NC 28112

Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC) backers left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC), 3-0 in a league match.

Next up, the Cougars battle the Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) in a 2A/1A Rocky River match, on Tuesday, October 16. Central Academy will attempt to better on its 6-14 season record. The Cardinals come into the match with a 11-7 record after their 3-1 league loss to Piedmont (Monroe, NC).

With the loss, Monroe drops to 0-13 on the campaign. The Redhawks host Forest Hills (Marshville, NC) to battle the Yellowjackets in a 2A/1A Rocky River match on Tuesday, October 16. The Yellowjackets come into the match with a record of 6-12. Forest Hills lost 3-0 in their recent league match against North Stanly (New London, NC)
