Connecticut High School Football - Bassick routed by St. Joseph
November 10, 2012: Trumbull, CT 06611 In Saturday's league game, the St. Joseph Cadets (Trumbull, CT) football team smashed the visiting Bassick Lions (Bridgeport, CT), by a score of 55-14.
The Cadets (6-2) will now prepare for their game against Trinity Catholic (Stamford, CT). The Crusaders come into the Fairfield County game with a 7-1 record. In their last game, Trinity Catholic was ripped by Darien (Darien, CT), 26-20, in a league game.
The Lions now sport a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they host Bullard-Havens for a non-league game on Tuesday, November 20. Bassick will meet a Tigers team coming off a 27-0 league loss to Capital Prep/Classical Magnet/Achievement First (Hartford, CT). The Tigers record now stands at 7-2.
