The Star City Bulldogs (Star City, AR) basketball felled the host McGehee Owls (McGehee, AR), 74-56 in Tuesday's league test.

The Bulldogs (8-11) will now prepare for their test against Lakeside (Lake Village, AR). The Beavers go into the 4A Region 8 test with a 0-8 record. In their last test, Lakeside went down by Dumas (Dumas, AR), 59-31, in a league test.

The Owls now own a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to DeWitt for a 4A Region 8 contest on Friday, January 27. McGehee will confront a Dragons team coming off a 54-41 league loss to Star City (Star City, AR). The Dragons record now stands at 1-10.
