March 9, 2018: Huntington Beach, CA 92648 The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Huntington Beach Oilers (Huntington Beach, CA) and the visiting Newbury Park Panthers (Newbury Park, CA), saw Huntington Beach's volleyball squad beat Newbury Park by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Huntington Beach upgrades its record to 9-0 on the year. The Oilers travel to University City (San Diego, CA) to play the Centurions in a non-league bout on Friday, March 9. The Centurions go into the bout with a record of 1-0. University City won 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against Bishop's (La Jolla, CA)
The Panthers (2-4) will now prepare for their game against La Costa Canyon (Carlsbad, CA). The Mavericks enter the non-league game with a 0-0 record.
